Method 1: Text Wrap Tool
If you want to wrap text around a simple shape or object, the Text Wrap Tool is the way to go. Follow these steps:
- Select the object you want to wrap text around.
- Go to ‘Object’ in the top menu, then ‘Text Wrap’ and choose ‘Make’.
- Your text will now wrap around the object seamlessly.
Tip: Use the Text Wrap Options panel to customize the spacing and offset of the wrapped text.
Method 2: Clipping Mask
For more complex shapes or objects, you can use a Clipping Mask to wrap text around them. Here’s how:
- Create your shape or object on a separate layer above the text.
- Select both the shape and the text.
- Go to ‘Object’ in the top menu, then ‘Clipping Mask’ and choose ‘Make’.
- Your text will now wrap around the shape or object within the Clipping Mask.
Tip: Edit the Clipping Mask shape by double-clicking on it with the Selection Tool.
